What fees are taken out of my donation?

Donations are managed by our solution partner Givebutter.

There are two types of deductions that Givebutter takes from the gross donation amount of your donation. 

1) processing fee

Virtually all donations are made via credit or debit card, and a 2.9% + $.30 per transaction fee covers the card processing costs charged to them for processing your donation.

2) platform fee

There is a 1-5% platform fee that Givebutter deducts for using their platform. This platform fee is in addition to the standard card processing fees.
